Deven Khosla, MD joins Reno CyberKnife team

Reno,NV–Dr. Deven Khosla of Sierra Neurosurgery Group is helping to revolutionize cancer treatment in Northern Nevada. As part of the Reno CyberKnife team, Dr. Khosla will put his expertise in spinal surgery and stereotactic radiosurgery to work with this innovative treatment tool – the CyberKnife.

Reno CyberKnife is a collaborative effort between area surgeons, oncologists, and physicists in partnership with Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center and US Radiosurgery. This revolutionary cancer-fighting tool is a non-invasive, ultra precise way to direct radiation to the tumor location without harming surrounding healthy tissue (learn more at renocyberknife.com). Dr. Khosla will focus on the treatment of primary and metastatic spinal tumors while his partners at Sierra Neurosurgery Group, Dr. William Dawson and Dr. Hilari Fleming, will concentrate their efforts on brain tumors.

Dr. Kholsa is a graduate of Loyola University-Stritch School of Medicine and received his Board Certification from the American Board of Neurological Surgeons in 2006. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno, Nevada. Dr. Kholsa is a partner at Sierra Neurosurgery Group, the region’s largest all Board Certified neurosurgical practice.
