Dr. Morgan finds undiagnosed brain tumor in accident victim

Reno, NV – You never know what case will come your way when you are working the emergency rooom as the on-call neurosurgeon. For Dr. Jay K. Morgan of Reno's Sierra Neurosurgery Group, the victim of a pedestrian versus car accident led to a pretty lucky diagnosis.

A CAT scan of the victim's brain revealed a brain tumor, in addition to the head trauma caused by the accident. Dr. Morgan's  successful tumor removal surgery will not only prolong the man's life, but will most likely alleviate the seizures the man has been experiencing for the past five years. Dr. Morgan is a partner at Sierra Neurosurgery Group which celebrates its 30th anniversary of service to northern Nevada in 2010. Dr. Morgan is the current chief of Neurosurgery at Renown Health.
