September 6, 2007 – As the sun rose September 6, Leesa Genco of Sierra Neurosurgery Group took to Reno's sky in the hot air balloon her employer is sponsoring for the 2007 Great Reno Balloon Race.
This year, Sierra Neurosurgery Group is celebrating community and the joy of flying by sponsoring Peter Pierre's whimsical Magic Moments balloon. Since 1981, the Great Reno Balloon Race has been a premier event and community tradition to Northern Nevadans and area tourists.
Every year, the Great Reno Balloon Race provides an unforgettable visual experience to participants and spectators. The Reno sky and landscape become a symphony of color infused by more than a hundred hot air balloons and thousands of rejoicing spectators.
The Great Reno Balloon Race is free to spectators because of the generous support of sponsors like Sierra Neurosurgery Group that have made this event possible for more than 25 years.
For nearly 30 years, Sierra Neurosurgery Group has provided skilled, innovative spine and brain care to northern Nevada and northeastern California. The region's oldest continuously operating group of neurosurgeons, Sierra Neurosurgery has a long history of community support and outreach. So far this year, SNG employees have helped fight Multiple Sclerosis, rallied aid for natural disaster victims and helped keep community spirits high at the Great Reno Balloon Race.
