Attention Sierra Neurosurgery patients and friends: We are implementing a new Electronic Health Record beginning October 4, 2016 called Athenahealth (Athena for short), which will greatly enhance our ability to provide more information to you and for you to have access to your own personal health record in a more user friendly manner.
We are pleased to announce that Sierra Neurosurgery’s new Athenahealth PatientPortal is now available. This online tool gives you the flexibility to access your health information and other resources at your leisure – any time of day and from any location! Since the Athenahealth PatientPortal is available over the Internet, you can use it from virtually anywhere. You can also use the PatientPortal to access information for family members and individuals for whom you provide care, if given permission.
As a patient of SNG enrolling in the Athenahealth PatientPortal is free and will allow you to:
- Request Appointments
- Review Your Lab Results
- Update Personal Information
- Request Prescription Renewals
- Pre-register for Your Visit
- View Visit History via Clinical Summaries
Also, the Athenahealth PatientPortal is completely secure, so you can be confident that your private information is protected. Only you – or an authorized representative – can access your PatientPortal. Remember: treat your health information like your banking information and use caution when sharing with others!
