Dr. Jay Morgan Artificial lumbar disc replacement, cerebral vascular disease

Jay K. Morgan, MD, FAANS

Dr. Jay Morgan joined Sierra Neurosurgery Group in 1993 because he knew he could make a difference here – both for his patients and his community. The well-seasoned surgical group appealed to him because of its long history in the community and its instrumental role in developing the practice of neurosurgery in Northern Nevada.

Treating complex spine disorders and cerebral vascular disease are among Dr. Morgan’s specialties. He also has extensive experience with the artificial lumbar disc replacement, a promising new treatment for degenerative disc disease recently approved by the FDA.

Dr. Morgan came to Sierra Neurosurgery Group after serving on the academic staff at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where he completed his residency. Dr. Morgan is currently Chief of Neurosurgery at the region's largest hospital, Renown Regional Medical Center.
