Dr. Demers earned his medical degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, one of the nation’s leading medical schools. He then trained at Brown University’s Alpert Medical School in Providence, Rhode Island, completing a surgical internship and a six-year neurosurgery residency. In his final year he served as Chief Resident of Neurosurgery, a senior leadership role within the program.
He joined Sierra Neurosurgery Group in Reno in 2011 and is a partner surgeon with the group. He also served as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Dr. Demers is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS).
