SHANNON BOELOW, APRN, FNP-C

PAIN MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Shannon’s journey into medicine began unexpectedly. After initially pursuing a business degree, working in a pathology lab ignited her passion for understanding disease and medicine. This realization led her to nursing, where she excelled, driven by her desire to provide direct patient care. Shannon graduated from the University of South Alabama with her Master of Science in nursing.

Her nursing career started in telemetry, caring for cardiac patients, before transitioning to the energetic environment of surgery centers. Here, Shannon acquired extensive experience in surgical patient management including post-operative recovery, pre-operative care, and charge nurse duties. Her expertise further expanded as an IV infusion nurse, a skill she particularly enjoys for its hands-on nature and immediate impact.

After 12 years in surgical settings, Shannon sought a new challenge leading her to the field of pain management. Shannon understands the complex challenges, both physical and mental, of chronic pain and is committed to exploring the newest interventions available to provide relief.

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family, including her young son, and pursuing outdoor activities like camping and off-roading. She also has a passion for cooking, baking, and travel, and a fondness for rodeo and country music.
