ANDREA BLACK, FNP-BC

PAIN MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

With a foundation in primary care, Andrea understands caring for the whole patient, physically and emotionally.

Andrea began her career as a registered nurse in a medical-surgical setting working to gain a strong foundation in nursing. Years earlier, she had seen a family member receive comprehensive care under a nurse practitioner and was inspired by the autonomy and professionalism of this role. She made it her long-term goal to pursue her masters in nursing to become a nurse practitioner. She returned to school and completed the family nurse practitioner program at University of Nevada, Reno in 2012. She spent over 5 years in primary care and family practice before joining Sierra Neurosurgery Group in the fall of 2017.

With a foundation in primary care, Andrea understands caring for the whole patient, physically and emotionally. She has brought this experience with her to our practice and is compassionate in her care of patients.

Andrea is a native Nevadan and when she is not in the office caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, camping and enjoying the outdoors.

“Andrea black is professional, patient, and really took the time to listen and figure out the best care plan moving forward. This was one of the best doctor patient interactions I’ve ever had, and I’m 62 years old. I am a real fan of her care.”
