September 21, 2007 - Wren Ballard, M.S.N., A.P.N., C.C.R.N., has joined Sierra Neurosurgery Group in Reno. Ballard will work out of the Group’s main office at 85 Kirman Avenue in Reno.
Before joining Sierra Neurosurgery Group, Ballard worked in the intensive care setting for 11 years where her dedication to patients and collaborative approach helped her thrive.
"Wren is not only an exceptional nurse practitioner, she has a wonderful bedside manner," says David C. Leppla, M.D., neurosurgeon and partner with Sierra Neurosurgery Group. "She is a real asset for our patients."
Ballard is motivated by her desire to help patients achieve the best possible quality of life.
"There are always numerous approaches to treating a medical condition," Ballard explains. "I really enjoy helping a patient understand their options and become an educated participant in their care."
Wren Ballard received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse and is a certified instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
