Monica Brown, RN

Monica Brown has been a nurse with Sierra Neurosurgery Group for 30 years during which time she has seen a lot change–like watching the practice grow from two physicians to nine. When she began her career with SNG, Monica was the nurse, the only support for the physicians in the clinic. Now she oversees the surgery scheduling department making sure every patient is prepared for their procedure including answering pre-op questions, managing medications and resolving insurance issues.

A graduate of the Orvis School of Nursing, Monica worked at Washoe Medical Center (now Renown Health) prior to joining SNG. She has stayed with the practice for nearly three decades because she really enjoys the physicians she works with and because the work continues to challenge her. Monica has been married to husband Nick for just slightly longer than she’s been with SNG and they have two grown daughters.
