February 25, 2008 – “Don’t be a victim!” That’s the motto of Team Brain Power as they organize a free self-defense class for fellow employees at Sierra Neurosurgery Group.
With the recent assaults and abduction that have occurred in Reno, Team Brain Power is taking personal safety and security very seriously. The group is offering all Sierra Neurosurgery Group employees a free Anti-Abduction and Self Defense Class taught at a local martial arts studio.
Wednesday, March 12, all employees will have the opportunity to take part in this class at Aikido of Reno designed to help them handle personal emergencies and crisis situations. Attendees will learn techniques and tactics for evading or escaping from an attacker and tips to help avoid dangerous situations.
Keeping employees safe, secure and confident is just one of the tasks Team Brain Power has taken on. Team Brain Power is a revolving committee of Sierra Neurosurgery Group employees committed to creating the most rewarding work environment possible. Brain Power sponsored activities include charitable work, social functions and continuing education.
