Reno, NV – Sierra Neurosurgery Group has announced that two of their physicians will now be caring for patients at Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, Nevada. Deven Khosla, MD and Christopher P. Demers, MD will now be performing spine surgeries in select cases at the Sparks hospital. Both physicians continue to perform surgery at Renown Health and Saint Mary’s.
Dr. Khosla is a Board Certified neurosurgeon specializing in the use of minimally invasive spinal surgery techniques, as well as complex spine deformity, adult scoliosis, and spinal tumors. He also trained in artificial disc replacement, as well as the use of stereotactic radiosurgery to treat spinal tumors. Dr. Khosla has been with Sierra Neurosurgery Group since 2001.
Dr. Christopher Demers completed his residency at Brown University, Alpert Medical School in Providence, Rhode Island in 2011. His areas of focus include complex spine procedures and brain tumor treatments, as well as pediatric neurosurgery. Dr. Demers joined Sierra Neurosurgery Group in 2011.
Northern Nevada Medical Center is a 108-bed acute care hospital located at 2375 E. Prater Way in Sparks. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and licensed by the state of Nevada.
