Dr. Joseph R. Walker, a Neurosurgeon well known and respected in the community has announced he will retire from active practice with Sierra Neurosurgery Group after 39 years of providing compassionate neurosurgical care to the community. Dr. Walker’s retirement comes with the announcement of Dr. Marshall Tolbert joining the practice in winter 2016/2017.
Dr. Walker is looking forward to spending more time with his wife Cindy of 48 years, his three children and 5 grandchildren.
A graduate of Creighton University, Dr. Walker completed his Residency and Fellowship at Jefferson Medical College and the University of North Carolina, and in July 1980 started Sierra Neurosurgery Group with Dr. William Dawson.
The physicians at Sierra Neurosurgery Group acknowledge and thank Dr. Walker for his many years of dedicated service to the community, but wish him all the best!
