Reno, NV – Christine Canner-Peterson, A.P.N. of Sierra Neurosurgery Group made a presentation in the Brain Power Educational Series entitled Neurosurgical Diagnoses. The talk was Tuesday, July 29 at 11:30 am in the Clinic Conference Room and was open to all Sierra Neurosurgery Group (SNG) employees.
Canner-Peterson’s lecture covered the most commonly seen neurosurgical diseases and conditions. The main goal of the talk was to help staff members who don’t have a direct caregiver role with patients better understand the work of the practice. “The more all of us at SNG understand the work our doctors and nurses do the better we can do our jobs,” explains Dyana Selby-Davis, SNG’s Health Information Management Supervisor and organizer of the Brain Power Educational Series. “Whether you’re scheduling a procedure or filing insurance papers, this knowledge will make you more efficient, more informed and better at your job.”
Christine Canner-Peterson joined Sierra Neurosurgery Group in 2001 after ten years working in intensive care. Sierra Neurosurgery Group is committed to patient-focused, individualized care in the treatment of brain, spinal and peripheral nerve disorders.
Upcoming lectures in the Brain Power Educational Series include Dr. Vacca speaking on lumbar spine in August, Dr. Khosla lecturing in September and Dr. Morgan speaking in October.
